The prospect of a farm becoming an “Individuality” is proposed by Rudolf Steiner in lectures 2 & 8 of the Agriculture course. Is it the Biodynamic preparations bringing that about?
In part, for they bring cosmic idea-pictures to the farm and farmer, and a basis for substance transformation.

But it is really in the nuts & bolts of practical, hands and heart work, done by the farmer or gardener, in awareness of the spiritual reflected in the physical, where the farm organism can receive the impress of being-ness. Consequently, new forces are born, which otherwise wouldn’t be possible.

This is the deeper topic in our class.

Me? In active conversation with the elementals since 1993, they have taught me a lot!

From a recent post on my Substack:

“It’s not a criteria for establishing a working relationship with elementals that we be clairvoyant, or do “rituals”. What matters is that we acknowledge them, work to understand and connect to them, through our qualities of work, to their work. Increasingly, they need our support, our striving towards goodness & responsibility as guidance, even resonance. Though the elementals are hidden from view, lacking physical bodies, we can certainly see when their charges, the plants or animals thrive or not; whether rain, wind, snow and warmth are harsh and destructive, or life-giving.

 It’s a common belief: we are nature, but in truth, nature is us (except our Spirit), and what’s more, reflects not only the workings of the cosmos, but increasingly, our actions, past & present and future, our thoughts, feeling life and choices. Right back to us.

Imagine this picture: Nature as a living book with many volumes, mirroring the work of the cosmos, but now more & more reflecting human karma. What do we do with such a precious gift and sober thought?

Working with the elementals for real begins with our activity, and movements, both and inwardly and outwardly. The work becomes a rite of meditation.”
