AUTUMN
In Winter’s dark we may crave light. Our skin does, too, in addition to needing more barrier protection, the right nutrition and lymphatic stimulation.
Hibernal Balm is lipid partner to aqueous Eos. Its name refers to the ancient Hibernian Mysteries, particularly the special tidings of the light at the winter solstice time, and to the winter season itself. ( Read through the product entry on Eos, for a more complete picture.)
Our skin does best when it’s able to take in and respond as naturally intended to the subtle rhythms of the seasons. Tender Flower’s niche is formulating with these very patternings in mind, and with the plants cultivated on the farm, using Biodynamic methods, profoundly in tune with the harmonic rhythms of nature and starry worlds.
Bright, resinous, and carotene-rich calendula is the center of Hibernal Balm, as with the Eos Mist. Four forms were used, including our in house triple extraction, offering the highest potency and content of compounds found in the plant.
Some of the luxurious lipids, among them vitamin C laden hibiscus seed oil, Biodynamic olive oil pair with several raw plant butters.
Altogether they create a balm that’s kind to a face requiring moisture retention without feeling smothered. Resins, carrot and fine helichrysum are tiny but mighty presences in this deep garnet hued emollient. 1 oz
Use: a tiny pea sized amount on freshly misted skin. For best results, use Eos mist. You could also use Wild Carrot or any TF Rose Hydrosols, which will be less active than Eos, but still deliver string hydration & skin benefits.
ingredients: *unrefined jojoba, raw bacuri, raw mango butter, unrefined Biodynamic olive oil, *unrefined hibiscus seed oil, *unrefined marula oil; raw local beeswax; our TF Biodynamic calendula, cistus creticus, myrhh, oenothera, extracts of *calendula, *murasaki, *daucus carota seed and root, kua myrhh, populus nigra. 1 oz
*certIfied organic **biodynamic/organic
note: in case of being exposed to temps below 55F, the plant butters may harden and precipitate a bit from the carrier oils, but it will melt on contact with the skin. If you like, simply let the balm come to a warmer room temp of 65-75, and the original texture will be restored.

I have yet to use a line that keeps my skin immune to the harsh Canadian winters. This balm along with the EOS mist have kept my skin moist and glowing to the point that people have been complementing my skin. I also love this under make up for that dewy smooth finish that plumps any fine lines. Another brilliant gem, thank you Donna for your magic!!

That’s the real test, that it works in your harsh winter climate, as well as sunny California. Thank you for sharing feedback. I appreciate it!
