Gardenia ‘25 Enfleurage Perfume

This year’s version of Gardenia enfleurage was tweaked with notes borrowed from tuberose & jasmine, with which it intersects in subtle nuances. But is gardenia really subtle? Not quite!

I wanted to intensify the lactonic, slightly sour green mango note, which I did with various extracts & absolutes. Flower species never smell just one way across each cultivar. And I get to pull out my magic palette of aromatics to paint an impression that’s true, but just a little larger than life. That’s perfumery theater.
