Incensum: Handmade Incense Cones

Hand making cones takes knowledge & shaping skill, but it’s eminently satisfying and meditative to work with a beautiful incense dough, and end up with fragrant smoke for scenting a room & shifting the energy.

You’ll learn all the steps & simple equipment needed for preparing materials; the range of aromatic materials needed; how to form and cure the cones; and how to incorporate essential oils. A materials kit will be provided to each participant, and we’ll make some cones together.

As well, you’ll learn how to avoid the most common mistakes in choosing materials, proportions, and fashioning the cones. A materials kit will be provided, you’ll need to bring some simple mixing items and a notebook. This class is far beyond the simplistic free tutorials you can readily find, I teach with the premise that people want to learn from a pro who shares how to create like a pro. The information imparted will give you a solid basis for continuing and experimenting.

For more complex incense fragrance work, the November 17th scent work class is highly recommended but not required.
